Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes information associated with visits to amore-di-sicilia.com (the “Website”). It covers the Website; external websites and services have their own policies.
Visits and technical information
When you visit, the hosting infrastructure and services used to deliver and protect the Website may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages and request times. This information supports delivery, troubleshooting and protection against abuse. The Website uses Cloudflare infrastructure; its processing is described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Comments
If you leave a comment, WordPress collects the information you enter in the comment form, along with your IP address and browser user-agent string to help detect spam. Your name and comment may be visible publicly once approved. Do not include sensitive personal information in a public comment.
If the Gravatar avatar feature is used, a hash derived from your email address may be sent to that service to determine whether you have an avatar. Its processing is described in Automattic’s Privacy Policy. An avatar may then appear alongside an approved comment.
Cookies
WordPress can use cookies for login, authentication, security and saved preferences. If you choose to save your name, email address and website when commenting, those details may be stored in cookies for approximately one year so that you do not need to enter them again.
For users who sign in, WordPress normally uses a temporary cookie to check browser support, login cookies lasting two days, screen-option cookies lasting one year, and a two-week login cookie when “Remember Me” is selected. Signing out removes login cookies. Editing or publishing an article can create a one-day cookie containing the article ID.
You can manage or remove cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies can affect login and other features. External services may use additional cookies when you interact with their content.
Embedded content, links and sharing tools
Articles may contain embedded videos, images or other third-party content. Interacting with an embed can allow its provider to receive technical information, use cookies and track your interaction, including when you are signed into that provider. Social sharing tools may also connect to third-party services. Review the relevant provider’s privacy policy before using those features. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
Accounts, uploads and password resets
If you have a Website account, WordPress stores the profile information you provide. You can view and edit your profile information, except your username; authorised administrators can also manage it. If you request a password reset, the reset email may include your IP address. If you upload images, avoid including location information in EXIF metadata, because visitors may be able to extract it from publicly available files.
Who can receive information
Information may be processed by authorised Website administrators and technical providers involved in hosting, delivery, security and spam detection, as necessary to operate those features. Third-party content and sharing providers may receive information when their features are loaded or used. Disclosure may also be required by applicable law. The information processed and location of processing depend on the service involved.
Retention
WordPress can retain comments and their metadata indefinitely to support moderation and recognise follow-up comments. Account profile information remains stored while an account exists, subject to administrative and legal requirements. Technical providers determine their own retention periods under their policies; no single fixed period is stated here for all server and security records.
Your choices and rights
You can decide whether to comment, use third-party features or provide optional information. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase personal information, or to object to or restrict processing. WordPress provides tools for personal-data export and erasure. Certain information may need to be retained for legal, administrative or security purposes. Publicly displayed content may also have been cached or copied by independent third parties.
Updates
This policy will be updated when the Website’s features or data practices change. Operator identification and a dedicated privacy contact will be added when those details are confirmed. The update date appears at the top of this page.
